Should I come with someone?

If the pupils are dilated, vision may be blurred and driving may be difficult for a few hours. The team will let you know.

Does laser treatment always replace surgery?

Eye laser treatments are precise procedures performed during an outpatient visit. They can treat certain conditions without an incision and generally allow rapid recovery. The laser acts in a targeted manner on very delicate eye structures to relieve symptoms, prevent complications, or stabilize disease while preserving the surrounding tissues as much as possible.

At Les Oliviers Eye Clinic in Sousse, Tunisia, we offer several techniques tailored to each indication: the Argon laser, used particularly to treat certain retinal lesions or complications related to diabetes; the YAG laser, often indicated after cataract surgery for secondary opacification, through posterior capsulotomy, or in certain forms of narrow-angle glaucoma, through iridotomy; the SLT laser, designed to lower intraocular pressure in glaucoma by improving drainage of the aqueous humor; and the PPR laser, an extensive retinal photocoagulation treatment used to protect the retina in cases of ischemia.
